I had promised to post more pictures from this community garden in my neighborhood. Here they are, finally :) These were taken during last winter and spring. What a visual treat this place is, regardless of the season!
My other post of images from the same garden can be found here.
Phew! That was a long post! I hope you enjoyed the images as much as I enjoyed capturing them. Hope you all have a wonderful week!
I was honored when a good friend asked me to photograph this special event. Her department chief Dr. Ramanathan was retiring. I was so touched by how much his colleagues and staff respect and adore him. Here are some of the many happy moments from that lovely afternoon.
There were many wonderful speeches. I was thrilled to capture these genuine reactions. Dr. Silverstein's speech brought out lots of laughter. Musical performance by one of the nurses and her husband.
Thank you all for letting me be a part of this celebration!
I love the soft light that streams in from the window...
I've known Marissa since 2001 when we first started medical school. She is moving on to start a new life in another state. So, we met up and reminisced about the old times and welcomed the good times to come. She also had been my very patient and cooperative model when I started my photography venture, so naturally I asked her if she was up for another portrait session. We had so much fun, as always. I'll miss you, M!
p.s. I'm working on a photography project called "Home Stories" and Marissa's place would be the first home that I'll be featuring. Would love to get your input on that - stay tuned!
I recently second shot a wedding for Phoebe. It was so lovely working with her! Thanks Phoebe for having me along. Will post more from this wedding soon.
