march birthday madness

Many birthday celebrations this month. First one of the month goes to my sis and her son - they were both born on the same date, 36 years apart (so, they were both born in the year of ox, as was my mom!). James is now 2 years old. Here are some photos of him when he was just a month old:

He was bald for awhile, and finally grew some hair!

heritage square museum

Heritage Square is a hidden jewel in LA. We only recently found out about it while driving on the 110 freeway. It houses Victorian buildings that were built in the 1880s and were moved to this site for preservation because they were facing demolition in the late 1960s. It makes a charming venue for vintage-styled weddings!





























We were most intrigued with this last house - it is octagon-shaped and the interior was really interesting. Imagine the amazing light inside (ahhhh- a photographer's dream! Unfortunately, we were not allowed to take photos inside). You can read more about the concept of this design here).
