is it winter?

Hit 80s degree this afternoon! The kids loved it for sure. It was a good day to take out my film camera for a test run. I love the grainy look!

For those of you who may be curious about how my "test run" went: I was eager to see the prints, so I dropped the roll off at a local 1-hour photo store. The film was purchased online and came expired. The prints didn't come out the way I had hoped. With film, there are so many variables that can contribute to the final product... So, what you see here were edited in photoshop. That is counterproductive of using film, right? Well, it's all part of learning new things. If we always get things right the first time, there wouldn't be any learning left to do =)

How neat! I love these shots. And yeah, wasn't it so ridiculously hot today? Yeesh. Anyway, can't wait to see more of your film shots.

Love these images, Karleen!

I completely feel you about film photography - you never know what you are going to get, but I love these images. The grain, the feel, everything!

Oh, and I get my film developed at my local Walgreens - what about you?
