Don't you just love her polka-dot shirt? I first met Leila in April of this year (see post here). We didn't get to do much picture-taking that time, so we met up again for a quick photowalk with our film cameras. It was in the middle of a hot sunny day and shade was difficult to find at first. We saw this little bush and I asked Leila to squeeze herself inside that bush as much as possible. With a few branches sticking out in front of her, I snapped that first image here. We spent about 5-10 minutes taking turn photographing each other with this bush. People passing by looked at us funny, but what the heck, we had so much fun :) You can find her film images of me taken on the same day here.
I just got back from Jonathan Canlas' FIND workshop in Maui. I learned so much and I can't wait to photograph Leila again with my Contax 645 (I think she's going to start charging me for modeling fee :)
